When you combine love, integrity and skill you create a legacy, and that’s something that we talk about a lot because we have a mission statement. We do have a purpose on campus; And the goal is to leave a legacy at the creek.”

Coach Love

Cheerleaders are an important part of the school and they affect how each and every student shows their morale towards the school. The cheerleaders have been pushing themselves a lot recently as they work towards impressing the school with their amazing moves; This upcoming home game performance will be tie dye theme for tie up the wildcats and as they try to bring pep to the crowd and rile them up to support our amazing football team.

Our cheer group are spirited girls who put the cheer in cheerleading. Their group effort and loud energy always brings the audience to their feet and with this upcoming football game just around the corner, everybody can’t wait to cheer along with them.

”We really feel as if, if they have something to work toward that it makes it more exciting and more fulfilling granted we enjoy supporting all of the teams on campus but we also find it exciting to be able to go ourselves to competition”.

This group of young female individuals work hard and push themselves almost every day to perfect their routine; they practice Mondays,Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Practices last until 6:10pm but they have breaks so the JV team can rest on Tuesdays at 5:30pm.

As said by Caitlin, ”We run through it multiple times and we make sure to practice a lot throughout the week and make sure everyone knows it before we move on to anything else.” Cheerleaders usually run through the pep rally routines, sideline cheers, and they are required to perform a cheer per quarter and incorporate jumps, stunts and tumbling.

In cheerleading, it’s very important that every person not only does their part, but they also have to pick up the slack when someone is missing.
